In the public consultation sessions with many people from Dunstable, people were very keen that the community be celebrated. It was felt that there was a strong sense of community in Dunstable and it is a community that celebrates diversity and is inclusive.

In the public consultation sessions with many people from Dunstable, people were very keen that the community be celebrated. It was felt that there was a strong sense of community in Dunstable and it is a community that celebrates diversity and is inclusive.

The sculpture was designed by Artist Pete Moorhouse. His ideas were informed by community consultation and workshops with several local schools; St Georges, Icknield Lower School, King’s Houghton Middle School and Central Bedfordshire College.
